The Histology Facility provides expertise and technology for the histological analysis of tissues, embryos and small animals. It offers access to modern sample preparation technology for paraffin or resin embedding, and to different types of microtomes for cryo- and room temperature sectioning. It also provides services such as embedding, sectioning, and staining (different histological stains, immunostaining). The facility constantly improves sample preparation and staining methods or adapts them to new sample types.
